Explore your flying options

Now that you are ready for your hot air balloon adventure, have a look at the experiences we offer.

Flying up to 4,000ft over the beautiful Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve offers landscapes you won't likely find elsewhere. Balloon Adventures Dubai stands out from other hot air balloon companies in Dubai because we provide a fully immersive desert experience that includes a short desert drive in a vintage Land Rover and a gourmet breakfast in a Bedouin camp or a luxurious Range Rover with a delicious breakfast served in a private cabana in a secluded oasis. You will also enjoy a falcon encounter when an experienced falconer shares interesting facts about these beautiful creatures and their connection with the country's culture, and a ride on one of our friendly camels, extensively looked after and part of the balloon family. We have received several awards from the World Travel Awards, TripAdvisor and Luxury Travel Awards, which means you are choosing the right hot air balloon company for your hot air ballooning experience in Dubai.

The Balloon Adventures Dubai signature experience is AED 1,350 per adult and AED 1,100 per child. We also offer private hot air balloon flights, private transfers and bespoke events at an additional cost. Each experience includes pick-up and drop-off from Dubai, welcome coffee, a drone show, a 45-60 minute hot air balloon flight at sunrise, a desert drive and breakfast.

We have just the gift you can give to your loved one who is adventurous at heart and love new experiences. You can purchase a gift voucher of any value on our Gift Vouchers page.

Depending on the weather conditions, each hot air balloon flight lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. However, the full experience from pick-up to drop-off will last between 6-7 hours as each booking includes a drone show, desert drive and breakfast.

Your dedicated driver will meet you in Dubai, drive you to the desert and back to Dubai after your adventure. Our Experience Consultants will contact you the day before your experience to confirm your pick-up location and time. We can meet guests at any hotel in Dubai or at The Dubai Outlet Mall's Dome Entrance.

The take-off time depends on the sunrise as we take off before sunrise to ensure magnificent views of the sun rising over the Hajjar mountains. Thus, pick-up times and take-off times will vary throughout the season. Our Experience Consultants will contact you the day before your experience to inform you of the exact pick-up time, which will be between 03:30 AM and 05:30 AM

Your safety is our top priority, and we will only fly if the weather conditions are ideal. Should we cancel a flight due to bad weather, we can either rebook your flight for any other day or provide you with a full refund. We will always try to communicate a cancelled flight the day before your experience. However, on the rare occasion that the weather turns bad once we have already reached the take-off site, we will take you to enjoy breakfast first and then reassess the possibility of flying or not.

Yes, Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome with a fresh cup of Arabic coffee and dates to kick-start your day the right way. After your flight, you will be transported to a traditional Bedouin camp, where you will feast on a gourmet breakfast spread. Your meal will consist of freshly baked goods, cold cuts and cheese, salmon, eggs benedict, omelette, shakshouka, traditional English breakfast and more.

You can cancel your hot air balloon flight free of charge for up to 24 hours before your booking. We will provide you with a full refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your experience or don't show up for the experience, unfortunately, we won't be able to process a refund.

Early mornings provide the best flying conditions as the air is still cool and serene. This also ensures breathtaking sunrise views from thousands of feet up in the air. Because hot air balloons need cool air surrounding them to take off, we only operate during the cooler months of September to May. We operate seven days a week during this period if the weather permits.

Pilots are in a unique position where they can control how high the balloon flies and which direction it faces, but they can't decide which direction the balloon flies in, as they can't predict the exact wind direction. This means that each flight is unique and every day is a different journey. When choosing where they have to land, Pilots always try to land on a flat and empty area in the desert. Firstly to ensure the most comfortable landing. Secondly, to prevent incurring any damage to the natural environment.

When watching a hot air balloon land, it can feel very intimidating. However, rest assured that our experienced Pilots are extensively trained to land the balloon and basket in the safest and most comfortable manner. It is very normal for a balloon basket to hop a few times or even drag to a stop due to the momentum. This is not considered a crash landing and is normally over before you even realise it.

Wear comfortable clothes to get in and out of the basket easily. Please refrain from wearing high heels, as trainers or sneakers are the best way to enjoy the experience. We suggest bringing something warm between December and February as the desert is quite cold before sunrise. Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect you once the sun is up.

Although flying in a hot air balloon is very safe, there are a few passengers that unfortunately won’t be able to join us:

– Ladies more than 3 months pregnant

– Children younger than 5 years old

– Anyone that has had major surgery in the last 6 months

– Anyone that has had a broken leg/arm in the last 6 months

– Anyone who suffers from chronic back or neck pain

The safety of our guests is our main priority. At times we need to delay the take-off due to fog or increased winds over the Dubai desert. When this occurs, we are able to change the order of the experience for you. Instead of waiting around at the take-off site for the fog to lift or the winds to calm down, we will drive you to our Bedouin camp so you can enjoy a gourmet breakfast before the flight. As we can reverse the sequence of events, we can ensure that you can enjoy the experience without increasing the overall trip duration. When this happens, the sun would already be up, but the views are just as beautiful.

After a fun and successful season, we are pausing our flights for the summer. Our sunrise hot air balloon flights will resume again on 1st October 2024.
