Balloon Adventures Dubai strives to provide guests with unforgettable hot air balloon flights and sustainable air and desert adventures. Conservation of the environment drives everything we do. However, it can be challenging as hot air balloons inevitably produce carbon emissions. Luckily, we can take certain measures to minimize our impact.
By using propane as fuel, we can keep it as clean and efficient as possible. When landing these magic carpets, our experienced pilots avoid protected areas whenever possible to protect the stunning desert landscape. The ideal landing area is open and flat, with little vegetation or plant life. At the end of the flight, the wind is the final decider on where we land and the only thing the pilots can’t control. When planning flights, our world-experienced pilots consider the weather conditions to determine where the balloons will take off, essentially determining where the balloons will land. This strategy has ensured that an average of only 4% of all of our flights ended up landing in protected areas. When this happens, all measures are taken to land the balloons in the safest way, not only for guests but also for the pristine surroundings and desert life.
Lastly, we teamed up with Dubai’s only eco-luxury desert safari company, Platinum Heritage. We then drive guests to sustainable and traditional Bedouin camps for breakfast, using restored vintage Land Rovers.
